Wireless antenna systems and fringe area cell phone antennas!

Wireless antenna systems are for cell phones and work well in fringe areas for cell phone reception. Those who live in these areas have reported success in getting cell phone reception from more than 50 miles from a cell phone tower!

There is a lot on this subject on the section of remote service. Click the "remote service" tab on the navigation bar to the left.

Fringe area cell phone reception is possible in extremely remote areas!

This is true, but you need to know how far you are from the nearest cell phone tower. Cell phone signals only travel so far and after a certain point, amplification of your cell phone service signal becomes ineffective!

Your cell phone needs to have contact with and feedback from the cell tower. Your phone has only a limited amount of time to do this and the farther apart your phone and the cell towers are, the harder it will be to keep a stable signal.

Several users can access your wireless antenna and amplifier system as long as you have the same service. The link below will explain the service types and take you to that section.

Click here to read about service types. The farther you are from a cell tower, the numbers of users on the system has to decrease. Some remote areas will only service one user at a time on a single antenna because of the distance from the cell tower.

Terrain and other conditions will make a difference!

There is no one formula or data table that will fit all situations and it would be irresponsible to mislead you. You will have to use your own judgement and measure the distance between the nearest cell tower and you.

Driving from the nearest tower location to your destination will not be accurate either because cell phone signals travel in straight lines. Use this method as a rough estimate since situations will vary.

One good way to start would be with a Yagi antenna!

Your cell phone has a signal strength meter in it and you can use it to locate a signal with a Yagi wireless antenna connected directly to your phone!

Not sure where the cell tower is? Don't worry!

The link below will take you to a site where you can enter your location and it will show you the location of the nearest cell tower. Free camera phone Click here to go to antenna search webpage. If you live so remote that you don't have a street address, and some of you don't, then go with the nearest address of a neighbor or a local post office if necessary. Just remember your search will go best if you look for the nearest tower within a 10 mile radius to start.

You can expand outward gradually from there and you should have an idea of a rough general direction to begin. A compass from the local hardware store will come in handy here!

Dont handle the conductors of the wireless antenna when searching for a signal!

If you do you will throw your readings off and get confusing results! What you need most is patience! Your cell phone needs to contact the tower and get feedback from it to see what is there. Your phone is trying to establish whether a stable connection can be found and this could take a minute or two.

If I can do this then so can you! Once you get the service you are paying for and receive a stable and powerful connection, you will feel a sense of satisfaction! Your vacation home or mountain cabin lifestyle just got a lot easier!

Your home or home office and workspace just got a lot more reliable and stable cell phone service connections!

Some people even generate their own websites using this information and keep daily journals on the internet!

Click the link below to go to Offgrid Desert Living to see what these people accomplished. It is truly remarkable! You can see the wireless antenna they are using and how it is setup for their internet access!

Look at the Offgrid Solar and Wind page. You will see a link to this site from there too! These people are living very remote and published their own website depicting their journey of rural desert living.

Phone service and connections to the local electric utility are not available!

This should help and convince you of the powerful problem solving potential of this website. Both of the links to boxcarcabin and Offgrid Desert Living show people on their phones and accessing the internet with wireless antennas in very difficult situations.
