In the car is where most people experience the largest amount of connectivity problems. Vehicles are still mostly metal and metals ground out radio transmissions, including cell phone signals. You might be able to get by with an external antenna connected directly to your mobile phone.

For most of us a simple antenna addition is enough to boost a weak signal and maintain a strong connection even for sending data. The nice thing about these systems is that they are all upgradeable!
That means that if a simple antenna isn't enough, you can add more accessories later!
Most cell phone stores that carry all types of accessories can get you a simple antenna with what you nned to install on your phone for less than $20 and you would be suprised at how well most of these work!
