Car phones making a comeback! Why?
Car phones are making a comeback because of the reasons stated on the first page of this chapter and also because you cannot forget your in car mobile now can you? Yes, I've done this myself and my in car mobile was a lifesaver! My cellular service plan let me add another line of service for less than $10!
Since I'm self employed as well as a long distance truck driver, I still have to be on call and available at anytime. I can forward all my calls to my in car mobile when my cell phone is at home or on the charger and not miss a call.
What about if your not in the car? Well then your phone can blow the horn or take a message, like mine does, and then when you start your car your messages are played back with the tap of a button!
My most favourite feature of my in car mobile phone is voice activated dialing. I don't have to take my eyes off the road to place a call. I just tap the voice dialer and say the name of who I want to call and the call is placed!
And if the name of the party you want to call is not in the voice activated dialing memory? You can say the phone number you want to dial and the phone will dial it for you!
All in all, if your looking to make a move toward an in car mobile phone, there is a lot of reasons to do so, especially if you spend a lot of time on the road like me!
